1. "No-one is perfect."
2. "I may tell a white lie to prevent hurting someone's feelings."
3. "I believe there is no God."
4. "Do unto others as they would do unto you."
5. "My god is not a god of judgment, he is a god of love and forgiveness."
6. "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
7. "Truth is subjective, what is true for me may not be true for you."
8. "I believe in being good to other people."
9. "Enjoy life while you can."
10. "Christians need a crutch to help them through life."

Here is what the bible says about these popular sayings:

1. TRUE, we have all broken God's Commandments:

"As it is written: there is no one righteous, not even one;" Romans 3:10
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23
2. NOT TRUE, the ninth of God's Ten Commandments states:

"You shall not bear false testimony against your neighbour." Exodus 20:16
3. NOT TRUE, you have broken the first of God's Ten Commandments:
   "I am the Lord your God...You shall have no other god's before me." Exodus 20:2-3
   Jesus said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment." Matthew 22:37-8

4. NOT TRUE, Jesus Himself told us otherwise, to love our enemies:

"But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:44
5. NOT TRUE, God will judge, the Bible is clear. A god that does not judge would be an unjust god. By believing in such a god you are breaking the second commandment by creating a god to suit yourself (idolatory).

"Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgement" Hebrews 9:27
"You shall not make yourself an idol..." Exodus 20:4
6. NOT TRUE, Jesus showed us the meaning of love when he died on the Cross for you:

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us" Romans 5:8
Jesus said "...But unless you repent, you to will all perish." Luke 13:3
If we truly repent we will ask God for forgiveness for all the wrong things we have done (sin). When Jesus was nailed to the cross, so was all the sin of those who repent and follow Him.
7. NOT TRUE, how can there be more than one truth about anything?

Jesus said "I Am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
8. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, only God knows what is good, not sinful man.

Jesus said "There is only one that is good. If you want to enter life keep the commandments." Matthew 19:17
9. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, our life on earth is temporary, Jesus said:

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21
10. DO NOT BE DECEIVED, everybody needs Jesus Christ but it takes strength to swallow your pride, be humble, and admit it.

"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6

The Word of God (the Bible) explains how we lost our relationship with God because of sin, and how Jesus Christ restores that lost relationship.

Sin means breaking God's Law (Ten Commandments), have you ever?:

1. Failed to put God first.
2. Made yourself an idol of any kind.
3. Misused the name of God
4. Failed to keep one day in seven holy
5. Failed to honour your parents
6. Murdered (or been angry without cause)
7. Committed adultery (or lusted)
8. Stolen anything (value is irrelevant)
9. Lied (even a white lie or fib)
10. Coveted (wanted what others have)

Disobeying God's Laws (sin) separates us from His loving care. JESUS SAID “...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Ultimately we all face God's judgement resulting in either eternity in heaven or eternity in hell. "Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment” Hebrews 9:27

We all need the Saviour, Jesus Christ, the only one without sin. Jesus took the punishment for your sin on the Cross. "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us” Romans 5:8

We broke God's Law and Jesus paid our fine. He suffered and died on the Cross, then rose from the dead, defeating death. JESUS IS ALIVE in heaven right now and promised he is the only way to God and heaven "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." John 14:6 If we truly repent (want to turn from sin) and trust in Jesus alone for our eternal salvation, God will forgive us and grant us the gift of eternal life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Jesus warned people on many occasions about the reality of Hell and how to avoid going there. He willingly died on the Cross to free you from the chains of sin that will bind you and hold you captive. Repent and put your trust in Jesus and enjoy a relationship with the Living God. Here is a prayer you could say:

Heavenly Father.
I am sorry that I have sinned against you.
Please forgive me for all the things I have done wrong
(at this point confess the things you have done wrong).
I know Your son Jesus died on the Cross to pay for my sin.
I believe Jesus rose from the dead and is alive in heaven.
I want to turn from sin and follow Jesus as my Lord and Saviour.
Jesus please change me into the person you want me to be.
Let your will be done.
I ask this in the name of my wonderful Saviour Jesus Christ.
